God of War Ragnarok Records UK's Second Biggest

Only FIFA 23 sold more physical copies of games in the UK than God of War Ragnarok did during its week-long launch last month. We already knew that the sequel had outsold every prior installment in the series during its first week of release, defeating rivals Elden Ring and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. 

Sales of the game, which was already the third-best-selling God of War game of all time in the UK, increased by 51% over God of War (2018). The release of the game significantly increased sales of PS5 consoles, making last week the highest seven-day span of system sales in 2022.
